Para Ordanance LDA
Para Ordnance LDA (Lightning Double Action), made in Canada by Para Ordnance Manufacturing. This is essentially the classic P series modified to fire in double action mode. It is a favoutite among match shooters for its exceptionally smooth trigger pull, and among personal protectionists for its high magazine capacity and powerful chamberings. The LDA series is available in 45 ACP and 40 S&W, full size through compact, stainless finish or carbonised steel. They operate on a blowback operated, locked breech design with a Browning linked slide and barrel interlocking system. Aside from the double action mechanism, they are technically the same as M1911 pistols, only having a wider grip to accept double-stacked magazines.
