SOCIMI 9mm SMG 821

SOCIMI is an Italian heavy industry which, in the middle '70s, manufactured the SMG821 sumbachinegun (.9x19mm Parabellum), a copy of the israeli UZI-SMG, with a folding stock (less complicated that the original UZI's collapsing stock system), a high rate of fire and a 42-round magazine. Almost 1 Kilogram lighter than the original UZI. It was a good weapon but had mediocre sales. It was proposed as a PDW contender for the italian Armed Forces and Counter terrorism Agencies but it was not adopted.
