HAKIM BATTLE RIFLE (Egypt)
FOLLOWING INFORMATIONS FROM: http://www.wapahani.com/samresar.html "The Hakim rifle was designed from the original Swedish AG-42 design, re-chambered into the more potent 7.92x57mm cartridge it was a mainstay weapon for the Egyptian military until the 1960's. It made use of some novel features in it's design, one of the more interestign was the muzzle brake on the rifle which helped reduce gases. The magazine was removed by unlatching the magazine catch and pressing it forward to remove the magazine. Afterwards the breech cover is moved forward and back to eject the chambered round. With the countries descent into backing the Soviet Block the Hakim was phased out of service as vast numbers of AK-47's were introduced into the militarypipeline".
