RASHID CARBINE (Egypt)
FOLLOWING INFORMATIONS FROM: http://www.wapahani.com/samresar2.html The Rashid was the countries attempt at a domestically produced version of the SKS carbine, chambered in the 7.62x39mm Soviet cartridge it however shared features from the previous Hakim Battle Rifle. The design proved interested enough to warrant a production cycle of 6500 models, however they were never officially adopted by the military. In the decades since their manufacture after the collapse of the Cold War these weapons have been sold on the foreign market place and imported into the United States.
