STERLING L2 PROTOTYPE (United Kingdom)
This proto-type weapon from the Sterling Arms firm was originally introduced in the 1960's. In an attempt to simplify the design for reduced manufacturing costs the weapon was made stamped pressings. Unlike earlier designs a handgrip was added to the weapon so one would no instinctively grab the magazine (this can cause failure to feed issues). Despite the novelty of the weapon and it's useful improvements the British Government had recently adopted the L2A3 series, it was that design which was mass produced. The STERLING PROTOTYPE was chambered to fire the 9x19-Parabellum round, feeding from a 32-Rounds magazine. Weight unknown.
