BERETTA SC-70 (a.k.a. SC70/.223) and SC70-SCS
The SC70 was the first attempt from BERETTA to produce a paratrooper carbine chambered in 5'56 NATO caliber. It has ALL the features of the AR70/.223, except from the stock, which in this case is wire-folding, and totally ANTI-ERGONOMIC (UGO, my contact at BERETTAWEB.COM, says: YOU'LL "SAW OFF" YOUR SHOULDER, IF YOU FIRE WITH A LIGHT DRESS ON, SUCH AS A SHIRTO OR A T-SHIRT). The SC70-SCS is the SPECIAL PURPOSE VERSION of this rifle. It features the folding stock and a SHORTER BARREL, very similar to the AR15's one. Both of those are still in service with the VAM; furthermore, the SC70 and SC70-SCS were once in service with the COMSUBIN (italian Navy SEALS), and are still used for recruit training.
