M-8 Flare gun
37mm Smooth bore - - Weight just over 2 lbs at 33 1/2oz. Marked " US Property Pistol - Pyrotechnic M-8 " Made By" M.S.W.C." Construction is stamped sheet steel, parkerized with aluminum back strap and black checkered plastic grips. It has a built in ejector for when you open the barrel & This barrel has lugs so it can be locked into an airplane firing port for discharge These guns are Very Rare on the "Used Public" market, I have only ever seen 1 unit up for sale for $145.00 The same model flare gun also has some T.V. Time. It was used on Gilligans Island episode #3 "Voodoo Something Too Me" . The Skipper & Gilligan both fired the gun in this episode
