SIMA-CEFAR MGP79-A
The MGP-79A was designed at the behest of the Peruvian Navy in 1979 who needed a new weapon for operations at sea. The design is a conventional blowback model which uses a perforated barrel jacket to cool the weapon after repeated firing. The design was a popular one and was in service well into the late 1980's when it was utlimately replaced. The barrel jacket can be removed to allow a suppressor to be affixed to the weapon. Fires the .9x19mm-Parabellum round, in semi or full-auto, feeding from either 20 or 32-rounds magazines.
