LAFRANCE SUPERNOVA
The LaFrance Supernova was a modified Remington M1100 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun that had the barrel shortened to about 12 inches; a new, large-diameter, recoil spring installed around the magazine tube; the butt stock, original recoil spring and tube removed; and a pistol grip attached. This made for a very compact 12 gauge, semi-auto shotgun, with a full five-round capacity. Unfortunately, the few Supernovas that were made did not function reliably with combat ammo, so they were converted to fire blanks and sold to Hollywood. --- TECHNICAL SPECS: CALIBER: 12 Gauge (BLANKS, for most of the existing exemplars) CAPACITY: 5 rounds TOTAL LENGHT: 12 Inches BARREL LENGHT: 8 Inches WEIGHT: 3,5 Kilograms RIFLING: Smoothbore =WARNING= The information sources about the LAFRANCE SUPERNOVA are rare, and hard to find; furthermore, I'm no longer able to access my information source about the Technical Specifics, so I'm not able to guarantee those to be totally exact. If does anybody has different technical specs datas for this rifle, being sure them to be correct and mine wrong, please send them either to me or to the webmaster for having them corrected. I would appreciate any help.
