COIC (Norinco) QS80-1
NORINCO QS-80 and QS80-1 Also known as the TYPE 80, this is a machinepistol developed by China Ordnance Industries Consortium back in the '60s to arm paratroopers and platoon commanders in the PLA. It is based on the old Mauser "Schnellfeuer" 712 German gun (a selective-firew variant of the Mauser "Broomhandle"), and it can be fitted with a clip-on buttstock for stabilization, and with a bayonet, though how effective this would be on such a small weapon is debatable. The QS-80 fires the .7'62x25mm-Tokarev round, with a detacheable magazine that is in the normal place a Mauser’s magazine is, but is sloped forward to improve feed, and can take 10 rounds, At the end of the '70s, NORINCO tried to enlarge the service life of this weapon introducing a modernized QS80-1 that was more simple in its use, more technologically advanced, and could take 20-rounds magazines used in submachineguns, but by now those guns are almost entirely out of service in China, and many copies are in the hands of foreign weapons collectors or in museums. --- TECHNICAL SPECS: CALIBER: .7'62x25mm-Tokarev CAPACITY: 10 or 20 rounds magazines TOTAL LENGHT: 302,2 Millimeters WEIGHT: 1,1 Kilograms (1,6 Kilograms with clip-up buttstock on) RATE OF FIRE: 900 Rounds Per Minute (fires 3-rounds bursts)
