BREMEC - Renato Gamba Model PHANTOM-07 and PHANTOM-08 shotguns The PHANTOM shotguns are manufactured in Italy by BREMEC - MECCANICA BRESCIANA Srl, the workshop of the notorious gunmaker RENATO GAMBA, who's mostly known for its fine double-barrelled hunting shotguns and for being, since the 1970s and until now, the sole licensed manufactured of the MAUSER HSc pistols of German origin. Up to date, BREMEC - RENATO GAMBA is the only manufacturer of HSc pistols in the world, in different configurations, in calibers ranging from 380-ACP to 32-ACP to 9x18-Police, which are available in several versions, richly engraved for collectors or in much more "practical" and cheap finish for those who seek a reliable and compact concealed carry pistol for self-defense. The PHANTOM series is part of the BREMEC - GAMBA "Royal" cache of gas-operated semi-automatic shotguns mainly focused on hunting, the others being the ROYAL-07, a "basic" shotgun with wooden furniture and Carbon finish, and the CAMO-07 HD, basically the same gun made available to customers in different woodland camouflage finishes upon request. The PHANTOM shotguns are not intended for hunting, although the PHANTOM-07 version could be used for hunting up to a limited extent, with the use of capacity reducers to be fit on the feeding tube to limit the ammunition authonomy to 3 shots (which is the max. allowed in Italy for shotguns used during the hunting practice). The main use the PHANTOM shotguns have been conceived for, is the defense of home and property, the personal defense, and the service for Private Security operators. Both shotguns are marketed with "Soft-Touch" ABS furniture (handguard and stock), dark matte finish on the barrel, and phosphate finish on the central body. The PHANTOM-07 shotgun features a fixed stock; the PHANTOM-08 has a pistol grip and an upfolding stock featuring an ammunition reservoir for 5 shells. The PHANTOM-07 shotgun is also available upon request with walnut stock and handguard, and with ammunition capacity permanently reduced to 3 shots, for those who wish to use it for hunting.
