GERMAN SPORT GUNS GSG-9 selfloading plinker carbine GERMAN SPORT GUNS GmbH has for a long time been a distributor of Airsoft replicas and Airguns into Germany. Recently, previously-forbidden military-style weapons have been legalized in Germany, giving the start to a race to manufacture several high-end clones of those firearms: from OBERLAND ARMS OhG to SCHWABEN ARMS GmbH, Germany has turned into an enormous manufacture of clones ranging from the AR-10 to the AR-15, from the HK-41 to the SIG AMT/SG-510. This GSG-5 subcarbine is undoubtably fully on the wave of the current trend. It combines the high-technology, reliability and appeal of the H&K MP-5 submachineguns series with the tactical accessories mount so popular these days. The rimfire chambering (.22 Long Rifle) is the "Politically Correct" touch to realize a purely sporting-purpose firearm what will surely call even the most consumed "tactical" shooter for hours and hours of fun and inexpensive "soft" plinking sessions. All accessories made for the Heckler&Koch MP-5 sub-machineguns will fit (except sound moderators/suppressors, integrally-silenced barrels, select-fire trigger groups and original 9mm magazines). Launch of the GSG-5 carbine is expected in Germany and Europe around Fall/Winter 2007.
